According to a report by the state news agency TASS, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has stated that Moscow is prepared to assist in the implementation of a potential nuclear deal between Iran and the United States, provided that such agreements respect Iran’s interests.

According to a report by the state news agency TASS, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has stated that Moscow is prepared to assist in the implementation of a potential nuclear deal between Iran and the United States, provided that such agreements respect Iran’s interests.
Following a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Lavrov said:
“We welcome such initiatives—as far as we understand—that could lead to a realistic and mutually acceptable agreement, which includes the ongoing negotiations between Iran and the United States.”
He further added:
“Russia is certainly ready to help move this process forward and will support any agreements that give due importance to Iran’s legitimate interests.”
