White House claims Iran is quietly seeking a deal

Karoline Leavitt, Press Secretary aligned with Donald Trump, has claimed that Iran is privately pushing for a negotiated deal while projecting a tougher stance in public.

According to Leavitt, elements within the Iranian leadership are becoming increasingly concerned about the ongoing pressure and are seeking a way to de-escalate the situation. She stated that, despite official denials and strong public messaging from Tehran, communication channels remain open and discussions are progressing.

Leavitt emphasized that the contrast between Iran’s public statements and its private communications is significant. “What is said publicly is much different than what’s being communicated privately,” she noted, suggesting that diplomacy is unfolding behind closed doors.

However, Iranian officials have consistently denied such claims, maintaining that their position remains firm and that any negotiations would depend on their national interests and conditions.

The situation highlights the complex nature of U.S.–Iran relations, where public rhetoric often masks quieter diplomatic efforts taking place out of view.
