Paris Hosts Triangular Meeting with Presidents Trump, Macron, and Zelensky to Discuss End to Russia-Ukraine War

Paris: In the 1,018th day of the Russia-Ukraine war, a trilateral meeting took place at the Elysee Palace in Paris, mediated by French President Emmanuel Macron. The meeting was attended by newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Following the meeting, Trump called for an immediate ceasefire and urged that talks begin soon after. On his "Truth Social" platform, he stated, “A ceasefire should happen now, and then discussions should commence.”

Zelensky described the meeting as "successful and fruitful," emphasizing, “We all want this war to end justly as quickly as possible. We discussed our people, the battlefield situation, and how to establish a just peace.”

French President Emmanuel Macron took the initiative to organize the meeting, signaling a new diplomatic effort towards ending the conflict. The discussions focused on the war situation in Ukraine, the humanitarian crisis, and ways to achieve a just peace.
