PM Modi Reaffirms Solidarity with Qatar After Call with Amir Sheikh Tamim

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday held a telephonic conversation with the Amir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, reaffirming India’s strong support for Qatar amid rising regional tensions.

In a post shared on the social media platform X, Prime Minister Modi described the Qatari leader as his “brother” and stated that India stands firmly in solidarity with Qatar. He strongly condemned any violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, emphasizing that respect for national sovereignty is fundamental to maintaining peace and order in the region.

Focus on Peace and Diplomacy

During the conversation, both leaders stressed the urgent need to restore peace and stability in West Asia through dialogue and diplomatic engagement. They agreed that constructive communication, rather than escalation, is essential to prevent further instability.

The call comes at a sensitive time for the region, with heightened geopolitical tensions prompting diplomatic outreach among key global and regional leaders.
