Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Front Forms Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Thana Committee
The Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Front has formed a new convening committee in Dhaka’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area as part of efforts to strengthen its organizational structure at the grassroots level.

Dhaka: In a move aimed at strengthening organizational activities at the grassroots level, the Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Front has announced the formation of an Ahbāyak (convening) committee for Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Thana in the capital, following a decision by its central committee.
As part of the newly formed committee, Nitol Chandra Das, a native of Patuakhali district, has been appointed as Member Secretary of the Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Thana Committee.
Leaders of the organization expressed optimism that the new committee would help further streamline and energize the activities of the Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Front in the Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area, particularly in organizing religious and social programs of the Hindu community.
Reacting to his appointment, Nitol Chandra Das told reporters over the phone that he was grateful for the responsibility entrusted to him. He expressed his sincere thanks to Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, BNP Standing Committee Member and Chief Adviser of the organization; Aparna Roy Das, President of Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Front; Samir Kumar Basu, General Secretary; Goutam Mitra, President of Dhaka Metropolitan Puja Udjapan Front; Abhijit Bhadra, its General Secretary; Piyush Chandra Sarkar, Assistant General Secretary of the central committee, as well as other central and metropolitan leaders.
He further stated that Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Front is a religious and social organization dedicated to promoting harmony and cultural traditions.
“I seek the cooperation and guidance of all concerned in carrying out the responsibilities entrusted to me. I am hopeful that, together, we will be able to observe upcoming Hindu religious festivals and events in a peaceful, dignified, and festive manner,” he said.
Senior leaders of the organization noted that the formation of the Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Thana Committee is expected to contribute to strengthening communal harmony, while ensuring the organized and inclusive celebration of Hindu religious and social activities in the area.
