Marking the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bangladesh and Oman, the Bangladesh Armed Forces Joint Band and Orchestra participated in a series of international programs held in Muscat, Oman.
The three-day-long celebrations were organized by the Bangladesh Embassy in Muscat. To take part in the events, a 35-member smart and well-coordinated band and orchestra team, comprising personnel from the Bangladesh Army, Navy, and Air Force, departed for Oman on Sunday, January 04, 2026.
Throughout the celebrations, the joint band and orchestra delivered captivating musical performances at various international venues, earning wide appreciation from the audience. The events were attended by high-ranking officials of the Government of Oman, members of the diplomatic corps stationed in Oman, senior military and civilian officials, and members of the Bangladeshi expatriate community living in the country.
The participation of the Bangladesh Armed Forces’ joint band and orchestra significantly contributed to strengthening bilateral ties, military cooperation, and diplomatic relations between Bangladesh and Oman. It also played a vital role in boosting the morale, pride, and emotional connection of expatriate Bangladeshis residing in Oman.
Following the successful completion of the programs, the joint band and orchestra team is scheduled to return to Bangladesh on January 08, 2026.
