Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Tuesday expressed strong outrage over the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza.

He stated,
“It’s unbearable to watch Palestinians die for just a piece of bread or a sip of water. This heartbreaking situation can no longer be tolerated.”

In a speech delivered in Istanbul, Erdoğan declared,
“Those who claim to be human must not remain silent in the face of this cruelty. Every day, countless innocent people in Gaza are dying simply due to the lack of food and water — this is utterly unacceptable.”

Erdoğan’s remarks come at a time when global outrage is mounting against Israel’s continued military offensive in Gaza.
Numerous humanitarian and aid organizations have reported severe shortages of food, clean water, and medical supplies in the territory due to Israel’s blockade and attacks.

A longtime critic of Israel, Erdoğan warned:
“If this blockade and massacre are not stopped, history will one day hold everyone accountable.”

Meanwhile, both the United Nations and the European Union have also criticized Israel’s actions in Gaza.
EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said:
“Shooting at people in food distribution centers must stop. This amounts to a war crime.”

UN Human Rights Chief Volker Türk warned that Israel’s military actions may amount to violations of international human rights law.

Gaza’s Civil Defense reported that at least 15 people were killed on Tuesday in Israeli airstrikes.
The World Health Organization (WHO) also stated that Israeli forces had launched attacks even on residential areas housing its Gaza office.
