“UAE Will Extend Full Support to Eliminate Terrorism from Türkiye and the Region” – UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed
[Ankara, July 13, 2025] – In a significant phone conversation centered on the "Terror-free Türkiye" initiative aimed at completely eradicating terrorism from Türkiye and the wider region, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed regional security and strategic cooperation.

During the phone call held on Sunday, President Erdoğan stated that Türkiye would continue its efforts to eliminate terrorism from both the national and regional agenda with full determination and commitment.

According to Türkiye’s Directorate of Communications, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed described the initiative as crucial for regional security and stability. He said,
“The UAE is fully prepared to provide all forms of support and stand by Türkiye in its efforts to eliminate terrorism in the country and across the region.”

Strengthening Bilateral Relations

The two leaders also discussed the growing bilateral ties between their nations. President Erdoğan noted that the strategic partnership between Türkiye and the UAE—particularly in defense industries and emerging technologies—is yielding positive results and will continue to expand in the future.

Peace Efforts in the Caucasus

In addition, Erdoğan and bin Zayed discussed the ongoing peace talks between Armenia and Azerbaijan. President Erdoğan emphasized that Ankara is closely monitoring the negotiations taking place in Abu Dhabi and affirmed Türkiye’s full support for efforts to establish lasting peace in the Caucasus region.
