President Donald Trump has once again launched a scathing verbal attack on Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. He made it clear that if Tehran restarts its nuclear weapons program, “the United States will definitely bomb Iran again.”

On Friday, Trump wrote on his Truth Social account addressing Khamenei, “I could have killed him if I wanted to. I knew exactly where he was hiding, yet I didn’t let Israel or the world’s most powerful U.S. military take his life.”

Nuclear Threats and Response to Khamenei's Remarks

Trump stated that under Khamenei’s leadership, Iran is in a disastrous state and that three of their nuclear facilities were destroyed in U.S. attacks. While Khamenei recently claimed that the 12-day Israel-Iran war was a “victory for Iran,” Trump dismissed it as “foolish and an outright lie.”

Calling for IAEA inspections in Tehran, Trump said, “If the previous attacks failed to stop Iran’s nuclear program, I will definitely bomb again.”

Leaked Report vs Trump’s Claims

Despite Trump’s claim that Iran’s nuclear capability has been completely destroyed, a leaked intelligence report suggests Iran may have only delayed its program by a few months.

Iran’s Reaction: “Ready to Defend Sovereignty”

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi responded by saying that Trump’s call for an IAEA inspection was “meaningless and driven by hostility.” He added, “Iran will defend its people, interests, and sovereignty at any cost.”

Iran has already passed a law suspending all cooperation with the IAEA.

Israel’s Readiness: “We Won’t Ask for Permission If War Comes”

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that Israel is still preparing for war with Iran and won’t need U.S. approval to act. He has ordered the military to prepare “mandatory plans,” which include:

  • Complete Israeli air dominance

  • Disruption of Iran’s nuclear and missile activities

  • Retaliatory actions against Iran-backed terrorism

President Trump’s recent remarks suggest that if Iran restarts its nuclear program, the Middle East could once again face significant military escalation. The global community now closely watches the next steps from Iran, the U.S., and the IAEA.
