Tehran — According to a report from Iran’s national television, the Iranian Army (Artesh) has confirmed that a third Israeli F-35 stealth fighter jet has been shot down by Iran’s domestically developed air defense system.
In an official statement, the military reported that the aircraft was downed in western Iran and that the pilot ejected via parachute and has been captured alive.
Since the beginning of Israeli aggression on Friday, Iran has successfully shot down three F-35 fighter jets. It is believed that one pilot was killed, while the other two are currently in Iranian custody.
The Israeli assault began when occupying Zionist forces struck a residential building in Tehran, killing nearly 100 people, including civilians, military officers, and nuclear scientists. They also targeted several nuclear facilities and military bases across Iran.
In response, Iran has launched five waves of ballistic missile attacks on Israel, destroying or severely damaging over 150 military and intelligence installations. Kamikaze drone strikes are currently underway, and Iran is reportedly preparing for larger-scale missile attacks.
Following the brutal strike on Tehran, Iran has made it clear through its retaliatory actions that it is fully prepared to defend its sovereignty at any cost.
