In response to the ongoing Israeli attacks on Iran, Pakistan has declared its full support for the Islamic Republic and called for Muslim unity against Israel.
Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, in a speech to the National Assembly, stated, “We stand with Iran and will support them in defending their interests on every international platform.”
He further said, “Israel has targeted Iran, Yemen, and Palestine. If Muslim countries do not unite now, each of them will face the same fate, one after another.”
Asif urged all Muslim nations to “immediately sever diplomatic ties with Israel” and called on the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to convene an emergency meeting to formulate a joint strategy.
The defense minister also emphasized, “Pakistan shares a deep relationship with Iran, and during this difficult time, Islamabad stands firmly by Tehran.”
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar condemned the Israeli attacks on Iran, describing them as “a blatant violation of Iran’s sovereignty.”
Pakistan and Iran share a 750-kilometer (466-mile) border along southwestern Pakistan and southeastern Iran.
