“India is the Strongest and Most Trusted Ally for the US to Counter Chinese Aggression in Asia” – Rich McCormick
[Washington D.C., June 4, 2025]
U.S. Congressman Rich McCormick recently expressed deep concern over China's geopolitical activities during a televised interview, stating, “China wants to dominate Asia. In this context, it is absolutely vital for us to stand by our strong allies — and there can be no stronger ally than India.”
In response to a journalist's question, McCormick reiterated, “China is attempting to establish dominance in Asia. We need strong allies, and no one can be stronger than India.”
His comments came during a briefing held in the U.S. Congress, where the strategic partnership between India and the United States was under discussion. McCormick emphasized, “We should further deepen our relationship with a strong ally like India.”
He added, “Our relationship with India is not only critical in defense but also economically significant. The trade deficit between India and the U.S. is very limited, which is a positive indicator for mutual economic cooperation.”
According to experts, this attempt to highlight India as a strategically important ally in the face of China's aggressive tactics and military expansion is bringing India to the forefront of U.S. foreign policy.
Analysts believe that such high-level statements point to a future where India-U.S. military and economic ties will grow even closer. With India taking a central role in countering China’s influence in the Indo-Pacific region, Washington is sending a clear message — India will be America’s most reliable strategic partner.
