Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Adampur Airbase in Punjab, which was reportedly targeted by a failed Pakistani military strike. In his first national address after 'Operation Sindoor' on Monday, PM Modi issued a stern warning to Pakistan, stating that India will never bow to nuclear blackmail, and sent a clear message to the world:
“Terror and trade, terror and talks cannot go hand in hand.”

He said:
"Operation Sindoor is India’s new policy against terrorism and a firm commitment to justice. It is now the new normal. Our operations against Pakistan have only been temporarily paused. The future will depend on their behavior."

Sending a direct warning to Pakistan’s leadership, PM Modi said:
"The very terrorists that Pakistan has nurtured over the years will eventually devour it. If Pakistan wants to survive, it must uproot terrorism from its soil."

He further stated:
"India will not differentiate between a government that sponsors terrorism and the terrorists themselves. Any act of misadventure will be met with strong and decisive action."

Reports indicate that Pakistan attempted to attack the Adampur airbase during the night of May 9–10, but the Indian Armed Forces successfully thwarted the attempt.

PM Modi posted on X (formerly Twitter) today:
“This morning, I visited AFS Adampur and met our brave air warriors and soldiers. It was a truly special experience to be with those who symbolize courage, determination, and fearlessness. India will remain eternally grateful to our armed forces for their immense sacrifices and bravery.”

His visit came just a day after the successful completion of ‘Operation Sindoor,’ which was launched on May 7 in response to the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, where 26 tourists lost their lives.

In his 22-minute national address on Monday, PM Modi said:
"The Indian Armed Forces displayed exceptional courage during Operation Sindoor, and their valor is truly unparalleled."

Meanwhile, Pakistan had claimed that it had destroyed India’s S-400 air defense system in Adampur using hypersonic missiles launched from JF-17 fighter jets. However, India strongly rejected the claim, calling it entirely baseless and false.
