For the First Time in Thailand, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi Meets Bangladesh's Chief Advisor Dr. Yunus to Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Relations
Bangkok, Thailand — Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bangladesh's Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus held a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the six-nation BIMSTEC (Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Nepal) summit on Friday. The meeting focused on enhancing relations between the two countries, economic cooperation, and the stability of South Asia.
At the beginning of the conference, a minute of silence was observed in honor of those affected by the recent earthquakes in Myanmar and Thailand. Leaders of the BIMSTEC member countries participated in this solemn tribute.
After the meeting, the leaders of the BIMSTEC member countries took a joint photograph, which included Bangladesh's representatives, led by Dr. Yunus.
This summit is being held with the aim of fostering improved relations, increasing trade, and enhancing cultural cooperation between South Asia and Southeast Asia.
