Chinese Ministry of Commerce spokesperson He Yadong stated, "China and the United States' trade and economic departments have maintained communication," and further added, "Beijing is willing to discuss important matters related to bilateral trade with the United States." President Trump has imposed reciprocal tariffs on various countries, explaining that if China imposes a 67% tariff, the U.S. will impose a 34% tariff on Chinese products.
