Poonch, Jammu & Kashmir, April 2, 2025 — The Indian Army foiled an infiltration attempt by terrorists in the Krishna Ghati sector of the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district, Jammu and Kashmir. The clash resulted in the deaths of five individuals, including Pakistani soldiers and terrorists.

Late Tuesday night, following three suspicious landmine explosions, the Indian Army launched a counterattack on Pakistani soldiers and terrorists, which lasted for several minutes. According to defense sources, Pakistani troops began firing to help infiltrate terrorists, but the Indian Army quickly established resistance, leading to the deaths of five individuals, including Pakistani soldiers and terrorists.

Sources stated that the Pakistani military was attempting this infiltration with the aim of pushing terrorists across the border, but the Indian Army successfully thwarted their attempt. However, the exact number of casualties has not been confirmed yet.

Earlier on Tuesday, three explosions occurred near the Line of Control, which are being identified as part of a terrorist infiltration attempt. Although a ceasefire has been in effect between India and Pakistan since February 2021, such attacks and infiltration attempts by the Pakistani side continue due to some provocative actions.

The Indian Army remains on high alert in the border areas of Poonch and Rajouri districts, as the Pakistani military attempts to bring terrorists across. However, the Indian Army has successfully prevented these efforts.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday, security forces launched operations in five areas of Poonch district. These operations are aimed at ensuring the security of the border area and maintaining high alert against suspected terrorist activities. Special Operations Group (SOG) teams and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) joint teams are participating in these operations.

The operations are taking place in various areas of Poonch district, such as Behramgalla-Chhatrayan Selan, Kala Jhula, Naka Nar Forest, Gursai Mastandara, Jabri, and Chajla-Segi.
