Amman, March 22 – Jordan's King Abdullah II urged the international community to take immediate action to halt Israel's attacks on Gaza and restore a ceasefire in a phone conversation with British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer on Saturday.

Amman, March 22 – Jordan's King Abdullah II urged the international community to take immediate action to halt Israel's attacks on Gaza and restore a ceasefire in a phone conversation with British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer on Saturday.
King Abdullah warned of the deteriorating humanitarian crisis in Gaza and emphasized the need to resume aid distribution to the region. He reiterated Jordan's firm stance against the displacement of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, and opposed attacks on Muslim and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
In discussing Syria, King Abdullah reaffirmed Jordan's support for Syria's unity, sovereignty, and stability.
Starmer expressed deep concern about Israel's new military activities in Gaza and the lack of humanitarian aid. He thanked King Abdullah for his leadership and efforts toward a political solution.
Starmer welcomed the Arab plan for Gaza and praised Jordan and the region's efforts. The two leaders agreed to continue urging both sides to return to a ceasefire.
Starmer reiterated that the United Kingdom would maintain a strong partnership with Jordan and both leaders agreed to stay in close contact.
