UN Secretary-General António Guterres Meets Bangladesh's Interim Government Head Dr. Yunus in Dhaka

Dhaka, Bangladesh, March 14, 2025 - United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres met today with the Chief Adviser of Bangladesh's interim government, Professor Muhammad Yunus, at the Chief Adviser's Office in Tejgaon, Dhaka. After the meeting, he signed the visitors' book.

Following the meeting, the Chief Adviser and the UN Secretary-General are set to visit the Rohingya camps in Cox’s Bazar. They will travel to Cox’s Bazar on a commercial flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines.

António Guterres arrived in Dhaka yesterday on a four-day official visit. The main objective of his visit is to review the Rohingya crisis and strengthen ongoing cooperation between Bangladesh and the United Nations.

During his visit to Cox’s Bazar, Guterres will observe the conditions of Rohingya refugees and gather detailed information on the progress of the UN’s humanitarian efforts.
