Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky Arrives in Saudi Arabia for Key Talks with US Officials

Riyadh, March 11, 2025: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has arrived in Saudi Arabia, where important talks between Ukrainian officials and Saudi and US representatives will take place today (Tuesday).

According to the Saudi Press Agency, Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman welcomed Zelensky, and during their meeting, reiterated the Kingdom's support for international efforts to resolve the Ukrainian crisis and its commitment to achieving peace.

Meanwhile, Zelensky expressed his gratitude for Saudi Arabia's efforts and praised its significant role in the Middle East and globally.

Earlier, Zelensky was welcomed at King Abdulaziz International Airport by the Deputy Governor of Makkah Region, Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, and other officials.

On the same day, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio also arrived in Saudi Arabia and met with the Crown Prince. In the coming days, Ukrainian and US officials will begin discussions in the Red Sea city of Jeddah to find a resolution to the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

This comes three years after Russia's full-scale invasion, and the talks are seen as an important step toward global peace.
