President Vladimir Putin Thanks Saudi Crown Prince for Hosting Russia-US Talks in Riyadh

February 20, 2025: Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed his gratitude to Saudi Arabia and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for hosting the Russia-US talks in Riyadh on February 18. In a telephone conversation on Thursday, Putin emphasized the depth of the relationship between their countries and his interest in further developing it.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman reiterated Saudi Arabia's commitment to maintaining global peace and security, based on the belief that dialogue is the only path to resolving all international crises.

Putin extended his greetings to the Crown Prince and the people of Saudi Arabia ahead of Saudi Founding Day and expressed his appreciation for the environment created by Saudi Arabia, which helped make the Russia-US talks successful and constructive.

The two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing cooperation between their countries, particularly in trade, investment, and energy. The Kremlin stated that both Russia and Saudi Arabia would continue to work together within the OPEC+ framework to maintain stability in the global oil market.
