EU Commission President Ursula Discusses Security, Stability, and Technology with Vice President Vance

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated that she had a "good discussion" with U.S. Vice President Vance on "shared challenges." In a post, she mentioned that these challenges included "security and stability, the great promise of technology, and the critical challenge of non-market overcapacity."

She also said, "Looking forward to continued cooperation with @POTUS and you."

The discussion took place on the sidelines of an artificial intelligence (AI) conference in France. The European Union (EU) has announced plans to retaliate against U.S. President Donald Trump's threat to impose a 25 percent tariff on U.S. imports of steel and aluminum.
