Six passengers killed in Philadelphia plane crash, several buildings catch fire
Philadelphia, February 1, 2025: A medical transport plane crashed in a residential area of Philadelphia on Friday night, resulting in the death of six passengers, including a mother and her daughter. According to local authorities, the plane crash caused fires in nearby buildings, and many people were injured.
Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker stated, "Many people have been injured, and several homes in the area have caught fire."
The plane was transporting a child, who had come to the United States for treatment of a life-threatening condition, back to Tijuana, Mexico. Four crew members were also on board.
Flight logs show that the plane crashed just one minute after taking off.
An audio recording released by CBS News reveals an air traffic controller saying, "We are not exactly sure what happened."
