U.S. President Joe Biden, in a statement from the White House, confirmed the details of the ceasefire agreement. He stated that the first phase will last for six weeks, including a "full and complete ceasefire, the withdrawal of Israeli forces from all populated areas of Gaza, and the release of a number of hostages held by Hamas, including women, the elderly, and the wounded."
