Trump Has a Busy Day of Diplomacy Ahead During UNGA

U.S. President Donald Trump faces a busy diplomatic schedule during the United Nations General Assembly, beginning with his address to the U.N. General Assembly in the morning.

Trump is scheduled to meet with the United Kingdom’s new prime minister, the prime minister of Japan and the president of Ukraine.

He will also participate in an event with the leaders of Denmark and Greenland to sign an agreement that is expected to expand the United States’ military presence in the semiautonomous Danish territory of Greenland.

The Middle East will also feature prominently on Trump’s agenda. He is scheduled to meet with members of the Gulf Cooperation Council and participate in a separate event focused on Latin America and the Western Hemisphere.

Trump will host a reception for leaders attending the U.N. General Assembly. Before returning to Washington, he is also expected to meet with Delcy Rodriguez, the acting president of Venezuela.
