Multiple Deaths After UK Police Car Crash, Police Say
Several people have died after a collision between a police car and a passenger car near Middlesbrough in northeast England, local police said on Saturday.
Cleveland Police said the crash occurred at around 3:39 a.m. local time (0239 GMT) on a main road near the South Bank area, east of Middlesbrough.
“Sadly, the collision has resulted in multiple fatalities,” a police spokesperson said. “We are working to identify the victims and contact their families.”
The identities of those killed and the circumstances surrounding the crash were not immediately disclosed.
