U.S. First Lady Melania Trump returned to the White House Rose Garden on Thursday for an event focused on expanding educational opportunities for young people leaving the foster care system.

Taking the podium, Melania greeted the audience with a lighthearted message: “I heard you missed me. Here I am.” The remark prompted laughter from the crowd, which included President Donald Trump.

The main announcement of the event was a $2 million scholarship initiative under Melania Trump’s Fostering the Future program.

The initiative is being launched through a partnership involving Fox Corporation, IndyCar and other partners, with the goal of helping young people transitioning out of foster care pursue higher education and build stronger career opportunities.

The event brought together several prominent figures, including Penske Corporation Chairman Roger Penske, IndyCar President Doug Boles and Fox Sports CEO Eric Shanks.

Melania also drew attention for her patriotic appearance. Standing before a backdrop of American flags, she wore a crisp sky-blue shirt paired with a vivid red skirt and red heels, complementing the patriotic setting of the Rose Garden.
