US-Iran Talks Set to Restart, Says Trump

U.S. President Donald Trump announced that a new round of negotiations with Iran will begin on Monday, expressing confidence that the two sides are close to reaching an agreement.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian called on the United States to honour the memorandum of understanding signed in June, describing the interim agreement as a key pillar of Iran’s future foreign policy.

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi confirmed that discussions with Oman over the management and security of the Strait of Hormuz are continuing, highlighting the strategic importance of the vital global shipping route.

At the same time, fighting in Gaza continues. Health authorities reported that at least 18 Palestinians were killed in Israeli strikes on Sunday, while July recorded the highest monthly death toll in the territory in recent months.

Analysts believe renewed U.S.-Iran diplomacy could help reduce regional tensions, although the ongoing conflict in Gaza and broader Middle East security challenges continue to complicate efforts toward lasting stability.
