Franklin Graham Praises VP Vance’s Defense of RFK Jr., Critiques His ‘Salty’ Language

“We have had many vice presidents who have used salty language, but the point Vice President Vance was making is correct,” Graham stated. “Could he have used a better choice of words? Yes, in my opinion. But I appreciate the vice president standing up for Secretary Kennedy, who is trying to buck a very corrupt system and improve the health of the American people. God bless Secretary Kennedy and Vice President Vance.”

Franklin Graham Praises VP Vance’s Defense of RFK Jr., Critiques His ‘Salty’ Language

Prominent evangelist Rev. Franklin Graham has voiced support for Vice President JD Vance after his sharp social media defense of Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., though he noted that the vice president’s choice of words could have been more measured.

In an exclusive statement to Fox News Digital, Graham said that while Vance’s profanity-laced remarks about senators were not ideal, his broader message was correct.

The remarks came after Vance’s viral post on X, in which he declared that senators were “full of s---” during a heated Senate Finance Committee hearing on Thursday. The clash followed contentious exchanges between senators and Secretary Kennedy over health policy and accusations that he promotes conspiracy theories.

Kennedy, who is facing calls for his resignation from more than 1,000 current and former HHS employees, welcomed Vance’s backing. “Thank you @JDVance. You put your finger squarely on the preeminent problem,” Kennedy reposted in response.

Vance had criticized lawmakers for supporting “off-label, untested, and irreversible hormonal therapies” for children, accusing them of enriching pharmaceutical companies while attacking Kennedy’s record.

The defense extended beyond Vance. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt also voiced support for Kennedy, suggesting that Democratic criticism reflected the fact that he was “over the target” in challenging entrenched interests.

This is not the first time Franklin Graham has addressed the language of political leaders. He previously urged former President Donald Trump to tone down his profanity, citing biblical teachings about accountability for words. Graham later noted that Trump often recalled the admonition in his speeches.

In closing his remarks, Graham reiterated his blessing: “God bless Secretary Kennedy and Vice President Vance.”

Representatives for Vice President Vance did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
