Melania Trump Sends $1 Billion Legal Notice to Hunter Biden Over ‘False and Defamatory’ Remarks

First Lady Melania Trump has issued a $1 billion legal notice to Hunter Biden, accusing him of making “false, defamatory, disparaging, and inflammatory” statements about her. She is demanding that the remarks be removed and retracted immediately, along with a public apology, or she will take legal action, Fox News Digital reported.

According to Fox News Digital, the letter was sent on August 6 by Alejandro Brito, litigation counsel for the First Lady, to Hunter Biden and his attorney, Abbe Lowell. The letter claims Biden must retract comments made about Melania Trump during a video interview with Andrew Callaghan’s Channel 5, posted on YouTube earlier this month.

Brito wrote that the “false and disparaging” remarks were “highly scandalous” and had spread widely across digital platforms. He said the video has already been reposted by various media outlets, journalists, and political commentators with millions of followers, reaching audiences around the globe and causing “incalculable financial and reputational harm” to the First Lady.

The letter alleges that Biden’s “source” for his claims was author Michael Wolff, described by Brito as a “serial liar,” whose article titled “Melania Trump ‘very involved’ in Epstein Scandal: Author” was published by The Daily Beast. Brito noted that The Daily Beast issued a public apology and removed the article within a week of receiving a cease-and-desist notice from Melania Trump’s legal team.

Despite this, Brito said, Biden “maliciously republished” Wolff’s “false and defamatory” statements. He warned that Biden has “no viable defense” for the damage caused and suggested that the timing of the video’s release proves it was done with malice.

“Your long-standing practice of leveraging others’ names—especially your surname—for personal gain demonstrates that you intentionally made false and defamatory statements about Mrs. Trump to attract attention,” Brito wrote.
