Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has accused Israel of making "extensive efforts" to assassinate him, claiming the plot ultimately failed. In a high-profile exclusive interview with American TV host Tucker Carlson, Pezeshkian made the explosive allegation.

When asked directly, the Iranian President replied,
“Yes, they tried. They tried extensively. But they failed.”

He emphasized that the United States was not behind the attempt, pointing instead at Israel.

“I was in a meeting, discussing strategic matters. Based on intelligence from spies, Israel carried out a bombing attack at that very location. But when God does not will something to happen, nothing happens,” he said.

■ Advisor's Claim and Background

Earlier, Pezeshkian’s senior advisor Ali Larijani claimed that Israel had identified the location of a high-level Supreme National Security Council meeting and attempted to eliminate the Iranian leadership through a targeted bombing. However, the operation failed, he said.

■ Message of Peace and Call for Dialogue

President Pezeshkian stated:
“I am not afraid to give my life for my homeland and freedom. But the question is — would that bring stability?”

Speaking on the suspended talks with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), he explained:
“We were in dialogue. We were told Israel would not attack. But they dropped bombs right at the negotiation table.”

■ Iran Open for Business – On One Condition

He also invited American investors to consider opportunities in Iran, under one clear condition:
“There are no barriers to American business in Iran — as long as there is mutual respect and no interference.”

President Pezeshkian’s remarks underscore rising tensions between Iran and Israel amid recent military escalations, while also signaling Tehran’s interest in international diplomacy and economic engagement—provided its sovereignty is respected.
