The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, has stated that Iran’s secret nuclear facility at Fordow was severely damaged during a recent U.S. military operation.

Speaking at an emergency session of the IAEA Board of Governors, Grossi said:

“Craters are now clearly visible at the Fordow facility, indicating the use of bunker-buster bombs.”

He further noted:

“At this time, no one — not even the IAEA — is in a position to fully assess the extent of underground damage at Fordow.”

Grossi warned:

“Given the extremely powerful explosives used in the strike, and the vibration-sensitive nature of the centrifuges on-site, the extent of the damage is expected to be very significant.”

The United States recently launched a major military operation named “Operation Midnight Hammer”, targeting three of Iran’s main nuclear sites, with Fordow being the most critical among them. Fordow is an underground uranium enrichment facility considered a key pillar of Iran’s nuclear program.

In light of the situation, the IAEA has urged the international community to exercise caution and restraint, emphasizing that the security and continued inspection of nuclear facilities is urgently necessary.
