Washington: President Donald Trump has blamed “Biden’s ridiculous open border policy” for Sunday’s horrific terrorist attack in Boulder, Colorado. He emphasized that the suspect, Mohamed Sabry Soliman, must be deported under the “TRUMP policy.”

In his first reaction on Truth Social, Trump wrote:
“Yesterday’s horrific attack in Boulder, Colorado, WILL NOT BE TOLERATED in the United States of America. He came in through Biden’s ridiculous Open Border Policy, which has hurt our country so badly. He must go out under TRUMP Policy.”

Eight people were injured in the attack. The suspect, Soliman (age 45), came to the United States from Egypt in August 2022 on a tourist visa, which allowed him to stay until February 2023. He later applied for a work permit, which gave him legal status through March 28, 2025. However, he remained in the country illegally for two months after that period ended.

According to a federal complaint, Soliman threw two homemade Molotov cocktails at members of an organization called “Run For Their Lives,” many of whom were elderly, while they were participating in a protest walk to raise awareness for the hostages held by Hamas following the October 7, 2023, terror attack.

Investigators said Soliman shouted “Free Palestine!” as he threw the explosives. Fourteen more Molotov cocktails were found nearby in a black plastic container.

During interrogation by federal agents, Soliman stated,
“I wanted to kill all Zionist people and wish they were all dead.”

He also admitted that he had learned how to make Molotov cocktails from YouTube and had been planning the attack for a year. However, he waited until his daughter had graduated before carrying it out.

Reports state that Soliman lived in Colorado Springs with his wife and five children. During the attack, he posted a video on X (formerly Twitter), where he was seen shirtless and walking around holding the explosive devices.

Federal authorities said in the video, Soliman could be heard saying,
“How many children were killed” and “End Zionists.”
The eight people injured in the attack included four men and four women, ranging in age from 52 to 88.

Soliman has been arrested and on Monday was charged with committing a federal hate crime. He also faces multiple state charges, including first-degree attempted murder.

Trump said,
“Acts of terrorism will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

He added,
“This incident once again proves that our borders must be secure and that illegal, anti-American radicals must be deported from our homeland. My heart goes out to the victims of this terrible tragedy and to the great people of Boulder, Colorado.”

Trump’s border policy has primarily focused on deporting illegal criminals. However, his top immigration advisor Stephen Miller has indicated plans to increase the number of arrests.

In response to the attack, Miller wrote on X:
“Suicidal immigration policy must be fully reversed.”
