Hindu Workers Speak Out Against Holiday Denial for Durga Puja Celebrations

Hindu workers at Karnaphuli EPZ in Chittagong have alleged that they have not been given any holidays for Durga Puja for the past three years by BD Nature Accessorize Private Limited. One Hindu worker mentioned, “For the last three to four years, they have not given holidays for Durga Puja to Hindus. Even the holiday given by the government on Vijaya Dashami is not observed by us. Because the Hindu population is less, no one protests. We have tried a lot to speak about this issue, but the authorities do not want to listen to us.” He further added, “Throughout the year, all government and private institutions in the country remain closed during this festival. But our institution does not provide any holiday. So, we want an appropriate solution to this. We are calling upon the authorities to immediately grant us holidays.”
