According to a report by Bangladesh-based media outlet The Independent, in light of the recent deadly shooting in Kashmir, a war-like situation has developed between India and Pakistan. In this tense atmosphere, Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, Chief Adviser to the interim government, has urged Bangladesh, as a neighboring country, to stay fully prepared.

Speaking on Wednesday at the closing ceremony of the Bangladesh Air Force’s annual exercise "Akash Bijoy-2025," Dr. Yunus stated:
"We do not support war, but war surrounds us. We live in a world where the threat of conflict is constant. Sitting idle without preparation would be suicidal."

He further emphasized:
"When a war-like situation exists between India and Pakistan, Bangladesh too must take maximum preparedness. Half-measures won’t suffice—only full readiness will boost national confidence and inspire future generations."

Expressing concern over Bangladesh’s economic condition, Dr. Yunus added:
"Due to looting by the previous government, the economy is currently fragile. In such circumstances, we must remain coordinated and ready."

Praising the Bangladesh Air Force, he said:
"The Air Force is advancing in step with the world. It has set an example of self-reliance by utilizing its own technology. The government is fully supporting modern technological advancement. To safeguard national sovereignty, we must maintain professional and technical excellence."

He confidently declared:
"We will build a developed and strong Bangladesh."

In this context, security analysts have also called on the government and the military to remain alert and prepared in a coordinated manner.
