Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sent heartfelt greetings to the people of Bangladesh and Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. He said, "At the end of the holy month of Ramadan, I extend my sincere wishes and congratulations to you and the people of Bangladesh on this joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr."
Throughout the month of Ramadan, nearly 200 million Muslims in India have spent time fasting and praying with their brothers and sisters worldwide.

On this auspicious day, we pray for peace, harmony, good health, and happiness for the entire world. I am optimistic that the bonds of friendship between our two countries will continue to grow stronger."
In the concluding part of his message, he addressed Professor Yunus with "Excellency" and said, "Please accept, Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration."
