Under President Trump's Orders, Biden, Harris, Clinton, and Other Key Figures' Security Clearances Revoked – Tulsi Gabbard
Tulsi Gabbard, the National Intelligence Director, has revoked security clearances and cut off access to classified information for several former officials, including former U.S. President Joe Biden, former Vice President Kamala Harris, and Hillary Clinton, among other political opponents.
In a post made at night, Gabbard stated that she had carried out this action following President Trump's directive.
She tweeted, "Under President Trump’s orders, I have revoked former President Joe Biden's security clearance, and I have also revoked the clearances and access to classified information for Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton, Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger, Fiona Hill, and Alexander Vindman, among others."
Liz Cheney has been a vocal critic of Trump since the January 6, 2021, Capitol attack carried out by Trump supporters. Fiona Hill testified against Trump during the November 2019 House impeachment hearings, and Kinzinger, a Republican, is known for his outspoken opposition to Trump.
Alexander Vindman, a U.S. Army veteran, testified before Congress in October 2019 regarding the Trump-Ukraine scandal. His testimony was used during the first impeachment proceedings against Trump on charges of abuse of power.
Last week, the White House released a memo stating, "I have determined that, in the national interest, these individuals should no longer have access to classified information: Antony Blinken, Jake Sullivan, Lisa Monaco, Mark Zaid, Norman Eisen, Letitia James, Alvin Bragg, Andrew Weissmann, Hillary Clinton, Elizabeth Cheney, Kamala Harris, Adam Kinzinger, Fiona Hill, Alexander Vindman, Joseph R. Biden Jr., and any other members of Joseph R. Biden Jr.'s family."
Earlier this month, Gabbard announced that she had revoked the security clearances of several individuals listed in Trump's memo and blocked their access to classified information. She also mentioned, "The 51 signatories of the Hunter Biden 'disinformation' letter" had also had their clearances revoked. "The President’s Daily Brief is no longer being provided to former President Biden."
