Awami League President Sheikh Hasina Extends Eid-ul-Fitr Greetings to the People of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina, the president of the Bangladesh Awami League, has conveyed her Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to the people of Bangladesh through a message posted on the verified Facebook page of the Awami League. In her message, Sheikh Hasina wished the nation a blessed Eid, stating, "Eid-ul-Fitr is the biggest religious festival of the Muslim Ummah. On this joyous day of Eid, Muslims unite after self-purification, forgetting differences, and celebrate together with love and cooperation."

Sheikh Hasina emphasized, "In Bangladesh, this celebration is not only for Muslims but becomes a symbol of mutual harmony and unity among people of all religions, races, and ethnicities. After the spiritual practice of fasting in the holy month of Ramadan, the entire country is filled with the joy of Eid."

She further added, "This year, on Eid, I pray for the poor and suffering people of our country. We must remain united against the conspiracies of those who wish to obstruct the path of our nation's development and prosperity."

Additionally, Sheikh Hasina pointed out that not everyone could partake in the joy of this Eid celebration, especially mentioning the persecution of religious minorities and the exploitation of workers. "In particular, over the past eight months, religious minorities in Bangladesh have been victims of oppression, and workers have suffered due to denial of their rightful wages and bonuses."

She continued, "During the illegal and fascist Yunus government’s rule, many leaders and activists were tortured, and families of martyrs could not celebrate Eid with their loved ones."

Sheikh Hasina concluded, "We must remain steadfast in our struggle, and we must protect the independence and sovereignty of our country. Surely, the Almighty Allah will reward us for our just struggle."

She finally wished the nation a joyous Eid, saying, "May Allah assist us and bring peace and prosperity into all of our lives. May the darkness fade and a new dawn rise."
