Former Israeli Minister Avigdor Lieberman has called for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza. In an interview with the Israeli daily Israel Hayom, he stated that the crossings between Gaza and Israel should be completely closed.

Lieberman said, "Let them die of suffocation in the Philadelphia Corridor," referring to a narrow strip of land on the border between Gaza and Egypt.

He further emphasized that the army should maintain complete operational freedom in Gaza. "Whenever a rocket is fired, we will enter. Whenever we detect any tension, we will enter," he firmly stated.

Lieberman’s remarks are seen as a reflection of his hardline stance on Israel’s Gaza policy. While there have been various discussions within Israel's political circles surrounding the Gaza crisis, his comments have sparked new controversy.
