Israel War on Gaza Live: Intensified Attacks Result in Over 40 Deaths, Hundreds Wounded

In the past 24 hours, Israeli forces have escalated their military operations in Gaza, leading to the deaths of at least 40 Palestinians and wounding 224 more, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry. Among the casualties, a targeted attack on a water distribution point in Gaza City resulted in the death of four members of the al-Ghazi family, including a child.

The intensified offensive in Gaza City’s Shujayea neighborhood has forced the displacement of at least 60,000 residents, according to UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric. Additionally, Israeli military actions in the al-Mawasi area of southern Gaza have displaced 5,000 people and caused numerous casualties.

Since the conflict began on October 7, the death toll in Gaza has risen to at least 37,834, with 86,858 wounded. On the Israeli side, the death toll from Hamas-led attacks is estimated at 1,139, with dozens of individuals still held captive in Gaza.

The situation remains critical as both sides continue to endure significant losses and displacement, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the region.
