At least 30 people were injured early Saturday morning after an unidentified vehicle plowed into a crowd in the East Hollywood area of Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) reported that at least five of the victims are in “critical” condition.

The incident occurred near West Santa Monica Boulevard, reportedly close to a music event venue. Emergency responders provided the following update on the injured:

  • 4–5 people in critical condition

  • 8–10 seriously injured

  • 10–15 in moderate or stable condition

The injured have been transported to various local hospitals.

Police and investigative agencies are currently working to determine the nature and intent of the incident.

It remains unclear whether this was an accident or a deliberate attack.
