More than two months after a ceasefire took effect between Israel and Hezbollah, much of Lebanon has seen a significant reduction in fighting. However, tensions remain high around Ali Taher Hill, a strategically important position overlooking parts of a major city in southern Lebanon.
In recent weeks, the area has been subjected to daily Israeli shelling and airstrikes. Hezbollah, an Iran-backed militant group, has responded with repeated drone attacks targeting Israeli forces operating in the area.
