Iran-Backed Houthis Claim Drone Strikes on Saudi Military Targets

Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthis claimed Thursday that they launched drone strikes against Saudi military positions, vehicles and troop concentrations on several fronts.

The Houthi-run SABA news agency said the group used Rujum drones, claiming several Saudi military vehicles were destroyed or set on fire. The Houthis also said they targeted military barracks and troop concentrations.

The claims could not be independently verified, and Saudi authorities had not immediately commented.

The reported strikes come as tensions remain high across the Middle East following recent U.S. strikes on Iran and Tehran’s retaliatory actions. The Houthis have previously targeted military sites and commercial shipping in the region during periods of heightened conflict, underscoring their role in Iran’s network of allied armed groups.
