Azerbaijan, the host of COP29, had earlier urged G-20 nations to commit to clear guidelines and substantial funding to tackle climate change. Given that G-20 countries are responsible for a significant share of global carbon emissions, the summit emphasized the need to increase climate financing and accelerate progress toward sustainable development goals.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, along with other global leaders, participated in a special photoshoot titled Global Alliance Against Hunger and Poverty at Rio’s Museum of Modern Art. This initiative seeks to strengthen efforts in combating hunger and poverty worldwide.
