Austrian Ambassador Meets BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir

Dr. Katharina Wieser, Austrian Ambassador to Bangladesh, held a meeting with BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir at the BNP Chairperson's political office in Gulshan on Saturday. The meeting lasted for an hour, starting at 12:30 PM.

Although Dr. Wieser is Austria's Ambassador to Bangladesh, her office is based in New Delhi. She also serves as Austria's ambassador to several other South Asian countries.

Accompanying Dr. Wieser were Tajvirul Islam, Austria's Honorary Consul in Bangladesh and a member of the BNP Chairperson's Foreign Affairs Advisory Committee, along with their representatives.

BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan confirmed the details of the meeting to Samakal. However, he refrained from disclosing the topics discussed during the meeting.

This diplomatic engagement comes amid ongoing political discussions in Bangladesh, highlighting Austria's interest in the region's evolving political landscape.
