British Deputy High Commissioner: UK to Deepen Investment in Youth Education in Bangladesh

The British government is eager to enhance its investment in youth education in Bangladesh, said James Goldman, British Deputy High Commissioner and British Development Director in Bangladesh. Speaking at the grand inauguration of the Second IHSB Inter-School Business Carnival at International Hope School Bangladesh (IHSB) in Uttara, Goldman emphasized the UK's commitment to fostering educational opportunities and collaboration between the two nations. Goldman highlighted his recent experiences, noting, “Yesterday, I visited a school for underprivileged children funded by the British government. Today, I see incredible enthusiasm for business and entrepreneurship among the youth at IHSB. The British government is committed to investing further in initiatives like these to empower the next generation.” The IHSB Business Carnival, a three-day event running from November 15-17, has brought together over 600 students from 50 leading schools in Dhaka. Organized by IHSB’s Business Club in collaboration with OkoTex, the carnival aims to inspire entrepreneurship and innovation. Timothy Donald Fisher, CEO of Sterling Education in England, expressed his organization's commitment to investing in Bangladesh's education sector. “Our mission is to create national and international opportunities for Bangladeshi teachers and students. This includes initiatives like establishing a branch of a British university in Dhaka and a teacher training center,” he said. Students are participating in three dynamic competitions: Friedman’s Fallacy: Tackling economic challenges. Pitch Perfect: Presenting innovative business ideas, with a special gift from Biman Bangladesh Airlines for the best plan. Marketing Mania: Showcasing marketing strategies. The carnival also features an exhibition showcasing products from 20 top business groups in Bangladesh. The event provides a platform for budding entrepreneurs to receive expert advice and feedback. The grand closing ceremony on November 17 will feature speeches from special guests, including Dilruba Tonu, Managing Director of Hi-Tech Park, and a cultural performance by popular band Shunno. The fair is open to the public daily from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM, offering a vibrant space for young minds to connect, learn, and grow. create a bangla news on this
