Trump Praises Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa: “He’s Doing a Very Good Job

U.S. President Donald J. Trump has drawn international attention after praising Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa, saying he has “heard that al-Sharaa is doing a very good job.”

Speaking to reporters at the White House, President Trump was asked about ongoing developments in the Middle East, including Syria’s post-conflict recovery efforts. In response, he said he received positive reports about the situation in Damascus under al-Sharaa’s leadership.

“I’ve heard he’s doing a very good job. Syria has been through a lot, but there seems to be stability coming back,” Trump remarked, without elaborating on his sources.

Ahmad al-Sharaa, who assumed leadership in Syria following years of political transition, has been working to restore stability, rebuild infrastructure, and reestablish diplomatic ties with regional neighbors.
