[Moscow, July 15, 2025] – Russia has taken note of U.S. President Donald Trump’s Monday announcement regarding military aid to Ukraine, and Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said the remarks will be thoroughly analyzed. The information was reported by Russia’s state news agency TASS.
Speaking to reporters, Peskov stated:
“The latest statements from the President of the United States are very serious. Some of them were directly addressed to President Putin.”
He added:
“We will, of course, carefully analyze Washington’s tone and position, and we will need some time to do so.”
Background: Trump’s NATO Remarks and Tariff Threat
On July 14, during a joint press conference at the White House with NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte, President Trump warned that if a peace agreement on Ukraine is not reached within 50 days, the U.S. will impose 100% secondary tariffs on Russia.
During the same briefing, Trump also expressed personal disappointment with Russia and President Vladimir Putin, saying he was “disappointed” with their actions.
