Number of Iranian Deaths in Nuclear Conflict with Israel Rises to 1,060 — Iranian Martyrs Affairs Foundation
[Tehran | July 8, 2025]
The Iranian government has reported that at least 1,060 people have died in the recent conflict with Israel, and authorities fear that the number may rise to 1,100.
Saeed Ohadi, head of Iran’s Martyrs and Veterans Affairs Foundation, provided this information in an interview broadcast on Iranian state television Monday night.
Ohadi said,
“Many of the wounded are in critical condition, so the death toll may increase. We fear the number of fatalities could exceed 1,100.”
During the conflict, the Iranian government initially downplayed the impact of Israel’s 12 consecutive days of bombing. However, the attacks devastated Iran’s air defense systems, destroyed several military bases, and damaged nuclear facilities. Following the ceasefire, Iran has gradually begun acknowledging the damage, though it has not yet disclosed the extent of destroyed military equipment.
Washington-based human rights organization “Human Rights Activists” reported that the actual death toll in the Iran-Israel war is 1,190, including 436 civilians and 435 security personnel. The organization further states that 4,475 people have been injured in the attacks.
Amid this disaster, the Iranian government has now started processes to provide compensation and rehabilitation for the families of the dead and wounded. Nevertheless, concerns over the war and its damages are growing inside the country.
