North Korea: Kim Jong Un ordered to strengthen war preparations

North Korea’s supreme leader Kim Jong Un has ordered to intensify war preparations. He gave this order after visiting a military base of this East Asian country.

North Korea had earlier called on Seoul and Washington to stop their “reckless” and “crazy” drills. Al Jazeera reported this information in a report on Thursday (March 7).

North Korea’s supreme leader said the military must “begin the work of strengthening war preparations in line with the requirements of the existing situation.” Our Army should … continuously strengthen real war exercises to rapidly improve capabilities for perfect war readiness.’

The exercise is expected to include 48 field exercises including missile interception drills, bomb blasts, air strikes and live-firing. The exercise started last Monday with the participation of twice as many troops as compared to last year.

Basically, North Korea has been condemning the US and South Korean military exercises for a long time. The country claims that these exercises are actually a rehearsal for a possible future attack. Pyongyang has also conducted weapons tests in response to such drills in the past.
