Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on Sunday reiterated his country’s full support for the United States’ military operation targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities. Speaking at a press conference, he stated:
“Australia stands with the United States in this decision.”

At the Canberra press conference — where he was joined by Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong — Prime Minister Albanese added:
“We do not want any escalation or full-scale war.”

He further emphasized:
“We have always stood for dialogue and diplomacy. We urge all parties to return calmly to the negotiating table.”

Albanese issued a stern warning to Iran, urging it not to take any actions that could further destabilize the region.

Following the U.S. military's "Operation Midnight Hammer," which involved massive bombing raids on three Iranian nuclear sites, tensions in the Middle East have sharply escalated.
